Debra mewett

Debra Mewett was an elected Councillor of the City of Adelaide 1995–1998. Prior to her appointment, she held roles as Artistic and Production Coordinator at the State Theatre Company South Australia, and Public Affairs Coordinator for the State Government’s Department for the Arts.

Following her Council term, Mewett was a radio producer with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and then Lecturer in Journalism for the University of South Australia. Relocating to Canberra, she took on a role as a Director with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry for the Australian Government (2008-2018) where she was responsible for strategic planning, governance, media and corporate communications.

In 2019, Mewett was appointed Manager, Marketing and Communications, ANU College of Asia and the Pacific, Australian National University.
