Jude Munro has been Chief Executive Officer of four councils: St Kilda, Moreland, Adelaide and Brisbane. She was the first female CEO of the City of Adelaide (1997-2000) and Brisbane City Council (2000-2010).

An expert in public policy, planning and infrastructure, Munro is now Director of her own consulting business, inaugural Chair of the Victorian Planning Authority, Director of Newcastle Airport, Director of SunCentral Maroochydore, and has served as non-Executive Director for Air Service Australia and Queensland Urban Utilities.

An activist for a more inclusive and cohesive society, in 1972, Munro became a founding member of Melbourne Gay Liberation and is currently Chair of the Victorian Pride Centre, a $15 million hub to showcase the LGBTI community's culture and history.

In 2018 Munro was celebrated by Deloitte and Google as one of Australia’s Outstanding 50 LGBTI Leaders. Her distinguished service to local government earned her an Order of Australia award in 2010.
